I am a Salt Lake City, Utah based natural light portrait photographer. I love capturing life's moments-- from a child's joy and exuberance to a bride's glow on her big day. I love creating visual memories for you to treasure forever.
This was a really fun shoot at a very unique location. Because of the very cold temperatures we had in December, we couldn't shoot outside so we headed downtown to the City Library. The library is an architectural wonder with lots of great light. Not everyone would be into getting photographed at the library so I'm really glad the Jolley family was up for it. I love how the photos turned out!
Katie Dudley is a fantastic photographer and friend of mine. We recently met up at this little spot in Big Cottonwood canyon with our families and did a little photo swap. I photographed her family and she photographed mine! Here a few of the shots I took of Katie and her boys. Are they all gorgeous or what?
Wow, I have been neglecting this blog! That's what happens when you have a new baby I guess. Now that she's four months old I'm finally starting to get my act together again with some new posts.
I photographed the handsome Hollingshead family back in August. I actually went to college with Natalie and Todd. They were print journalism majors, whereas I studied broadcasting, but we had some overlapping classes. Unlike me, they are actually using their journalism degrees. And have two adorable kids!
It had been awhile since I'd done a family shoot, so I had a lot of fun shooting the Whites. They are so cute and picked great colors for Spring. We took these at Memory Grove Park here in Salt Lake City. It was my first time shooting there, and I will definitely go back.
I'm down in Los Alamos, New Mexico right now visiting my parents and got the chance to photograph the Hansen family. Katharine is a graphic designer and actually designed my logo. (I highly recommend her!) After months of email correspondence it was so great to finally meet her and her cute family! I'll have more photos of them sometime in the next couple weeks, but I couldn't resist editing this gem of a photo right away. How great are those smiles?
I had the honor of photographing this happy couple for their 50th wedding anniversary. How great is that? They were so cute and fun and obviously still in love.
We took these photos in front of a waterfall in Bountiful. When they were dating and still in high school 55 years ago, they took a picture in front of this same waterfall. I love stories like that!
On Monday I met up with the Jorgensens, the winners of the contest I had a few weeks ago. What a cute family! We got lots of great photos. These were all taken at the train station in Ogden. It was a lot of fun to do a more urban shoot.
I wanted to put a few up now before I leave for vacation on Saturday. I'll post more when I get back.
I had the privilege of photographing this handsome family recently. We know the Spencers from North Carolina. They moved back to Utah last year and it's so great to be able to see them again! Their three boys are a hoot. I had a lot of fun chasing them around Big Springs Hollow up Provo Canyon. And the family dog even came along for the fun!
